Anna Louise Hough, 89 years old, peacefully passed away May 8, 2014. Anna was born in Shepherd, Texas on Nov. 16, 1924 to James Philip and Lena Fain Kirby, joining older brother James “Philip” Kirby Jr. After graduating from high school, she attended a Clerical College in Houston, Texas.
Anna was preceded in death by Travis “Howard” Hough whom she met and married in Texas in 1945. When the war ended, they moved to Arizona, ending up in Casa Grande where they spent 42 years. After Howard’s death in 1994, Anna moved to Payson to be near her daughter. She has been an active member of the Payson United Methodist Church and the Ponderosa Chapter of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Snyder and son-in-law, Frank Snyder; her son, Travis H. Hough Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jacque Hough; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two nieces.
Services will be held at the Payson United Methodist Church at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
