Henry (Mike) Armstrong, 71, of Pine and Phoenix, Ariz., passed away suddenly on Aug. 23 in Payson. Mike was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons as well as being a CPM (Certified Project Manager) and was awarded several patents during his 30+ years while he was employed for Honeywell.
Earlier in life, Mike graduated from the Air Force Academy and was a Navigator for the United States Air Force. He had received an MBA from the University of New Haven and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
He was an avid gardener and loved any excuse to get outdoors, whether it be elk watching, bird watching or running marathons, you could count on finding him where the wind was blowing. He loved working with stained glass, about as much as he loved his dog, Rugby.
But moreover, he loved his family and will be missed by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Michelle (Kevin) Ziperstein of Shelton, CT; and Jason (Janice) Armstrong of Glendale, Ariz. Survivors also include his brother, Donald Armstrong of Henniker, NH; and his three grandchildren, Garrett and Graham Ziperstein of Shelton, CT; and Annabel Armstrong of Glendale, Ariz.; as well as the best in-laws in the world.
Mike loved life and wanted to share the gift of life by being an organ donor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 2310 N. 56th Street, Phoenix, Ariz.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Mike Armstrong’s memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 742030, Los Angeles, CA 90074.
