Albert, age 68, passed away very peacefully on Aug. 9, 2014 at Hospice Compassus in Payson where his care was tenderly given.
He spent the majority of his life, from 1990 to 2013, in the Valley of the Sun, soon to fall in love with the Rim Country and the ponderosa pines.
Albert was a security guard and later became a bus driver for Hertz at Sky Harbor Airport where he was very proud to be a member of the Teamsters’ Local 104 and soon retired after six years of dedicated service.
Sir Albert was also a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served others unselfishly until he became very ill. He had many friends in the Phoenix and Payson areas that enjoyed his forever stories of Michigan where he was born and raised at St. Clair Shores.
Preceding him to Jesus were his parents, John and Beatrice; and close cousin, Gilbert; who are all welcoming him to a peaceful place. He leaves behind his loving wife and dedicated nurse, Marsha Ann of Payson; brother, Anthony O’Brien of Portland, Ore.; many nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends throughout the United States.
Everyone is invited to attend a nice memorial Mass at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 511 S. St. Philip’s St. in Payson at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall to celebrate Albert’s life and his returning to Jesus in open and loving arms.
“Albert, I love you and finally you are at peace. You will always have a special place in my heart.” Many blessings, your wife Marsha.
