Obituary for David Michael Powell

David passed away Friday, April 25 in Elko, Nev. David was born July, 1990 in Payson, Ariz. to Donny and Liz Powell. He lived in Payson until he graduated high school, then he moved to Elko, Nev. where he joined Operating Engineers Local 3 Union to run heavy equipment with his father, Donny Powell. David loved to work and the opportunities to learn and operate several different pieces of equipment. Although David loved what he did, he always called Payson his home.
David is survived by his mother, Liz Powell (Bob); his father, Donny Powell (Lisa); sister, Karlyn; step-brother, Skyer; his grandmothers, Ann Combs and Marie Knaus; aunt, Yvonne Webster (Kelly); uncles, Bill Powell and Erik Van Kerkwyk; several cousins, Dashney, Dana (Leroy), Garrett (Nichole), Timbur, Camille, William, Sailem, Chandra, Dia, Carlin, Wyatt, John Leroy, Hollie (Gary), Destiny, Tylor, Colten and Donnie.
Also left behind are special friends Robin Nelson (Christian), Taylor Rose Hardt; also left behind are the two remaining D’s, Danny and David Morris, and many, many more friends. David will be Forever in our Hearts!
David was preceded in death by his uncle, Gene Powell.
Visitation is Saturday, May 3 at 10 a.m. and funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. at the Messinger Funeral Home at 901 S. Westerly Road, Payson, Ariz. with graveside to follow.
