Kay Francis Jenkins, 71, of Payson, also known as “Miss Kitty,” passed away Feb. 22, 2013.
She was the beautiful wife of 18 years to Sonny Jenkins of Payson. She is also survived by her only son, Jeff Thomason and Trina of Lake Havasu City;, brother, Mark Voyles of Whittier, Calif.; sister, Janet Quinnert of Wofferd Heights, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Linda Voyles of Payson.
She was blessed with three granddaughters, Sara, Pickel and Colin of Redondo Beach, Calif., Amber Thomason and Brandon of Glendale, Ariz., and Heather Thomason and Stephen of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and nephew, Lee Voyles of Payson.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her brother, “Tim” John Voyles of Payson.
She made friends everywhere she went. A social butterfly, she was known and loved by all. She was not only beautiful, but talented as well. She was a novelist with contacts at Paramount and Random House. She loved to cook. She was a tavern owner with Sonny in Kernville, Calif. She lived on and helped run a gold mine in Arizona. She enjoyed her time with family and friends. Loved the river in Parker, Ariz., where she lived off and on and she loved her little dog Sophie. She leaves us with lots of good memories.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Donations in her name may be made to the Hospice Compassus.
